I had to return some borrowed ground to my neighbour so the wildflower lawn area has gone. In its place, I have created a green roof for my chicken run. The growing medium is a mix of peat free compost, grit and clay balls. The boxes are lined with fleece, pond liner and there are drainage holes at the front. Plants include Birdsfoot Trefoil, Cowslip, Daisy, Fox & Cubs, Harebell, Kidney Vetch, Primrose, Salad Burnet, Sea Campion, Selfheal, Thrift and Chamomile.
